Who is she?
Marci DeFrancesco is a Korean-American actress and entrepreneur who loves sharing stories that can inspire and empower others. Her passion for storytelling began at a young age. She loves the idea of stepping into someone else’s shoes and giving them a voice.
In 2017, Marci moved to NYC to continue her career in filmmaking. She has her BA in Theatre from the University at Albany and expanded her studies to on-screen acting at New York Film Academy. Marci currently trains at The Houde School of Acting, studying the Meisner Technique and has been a substitute teacher with Houde School since 2023.
Although Marci is not a stunt performer, she is trained in some basic stunts such as firearms, tactical, unarmed and European Saber. It’s important to her to learn skills that make her a more valuable actor and also gets to play with swords.
Marci has worked as a 1st AD, enjoys writing, coffee and loves playing with SFX makeup, especially fake blood.
Fun Fact: Marci was adopted from South Korea when she was 5 months old and grew up in an Italian American family in the Capital District of NY (the real Upstate #iykyk). She loves to cook and can speak a Italian. (She’s working on learning Korean.)
Besides spending time with her loved ones, she enjoys learning and exploring the world.
